Zolo and Luffy's arc is probably the best, as it's fast paced and funny, but Nami has some heartfelt moments especially with a doggie, and usopp is charming and cute. We’ve learned a few things about Nami before this point: She’s both a navigator and a thief, she loves “money and tangerines” (A fruit that is also a symbol of wealth! Once I finally got the hang of it (aided by the little "read this way" markers every few pages in the english translated version) I started really quite enjoying it. It's a bit boring when they out on the sea and I don't care about Usopp and the other guy tying up Zoro. Years went by while I was in High School I watched the newest episode with subtitles every single week.

Even Hunter x Hunter - another long-running Shonen series - charges forward with more purpose than this. And what Oda does with Nami’s character here is every bit as good as what he does with Sanji’s – more so, arguably, since we get all of it at once. It's a depressingly fitting testament to my feelings on the matter: the allure of One Piece is so strong, but I've stopped having faith that it will ever deliver on that promise. This, Volume 12, Volume 61, and Volume 90 are the only volumes to contain an entire story arc, with the Romance Dawn Arc completely contained in this volume. And Im digging the fact that each character has a backstory that helps the reader understand their role in the saga, and how their backgrounds infirm their actions.

There are flashes here that show me how investing this series could be, only for Oda's serial format to derail it entirely. Well, Luffy certainly gave Don Krieg a bite larger than he could chew with his determination to defeat the cruel pirate regardless of all his arsenal which he demonstrated in rapid succession. It all comes back to his mentor/father figure, chef and former pirate Zeff, and the sacrifices he made for kid Sanji when the two were marooned together (and the manga version of that experience is even darker than the anime). So while I can have great conversations with him about who would win between Goku and Rand (we're at a tie on that one), I have never actually dived into consuming a(?

I just finished Chainsaw Man ffs - a series which told a beautiful story with some of the most thrilling direction in modern manga.I don't know if I can say with a straight face that one Piece as a whole is a dire series, so fans can put away the pitchforks please. butting heads against an array of comic villains in settings that sort of gesture at mortal peril without going all-in right out of the gate.

Read more about the condition Very Good: A book that has been read and does not look new, but is in excellent condition. It sounds silly, but this was the straw that broke this camel's back - a move that broke the One Piece illusion once and for all. Omg, this was just super exciting, I love pirate adventures, and so I have a feeling I'm going to grow to adore this series. La historia de Nami y la de Sanji, al igual que me ha pasado en el live-action, es la que llega a emocionarme fuerte por primera vez y hacerme sentir más cercana a este grupo de descerebrados.
