The mix creates an immersive surround sound experience that achieves excellent balance which correlates nicely with the events transpiring onscreen. There’s especially a great scene where some saws come in and cut open the ceiling and then reveal a flying helicopter that then has characters jump out of it and your top channels are loud and track it quite well. The Minions and Gru still stick to their basic primaries, but that makes the more colorful nature of the supporting cast even clearer. So, as you can see, I am a fan and, looked forward to seeing what Minions: The Rise of Gru had under the hood. Overheads are filled with discrete sounds of Jean Clawed’s mecha machine when it stomps into Wild Knuckles’ lair, and the bass is more than powerful throughout.
