Description

Featuring audiophile-grade wire and easily accessible aluminum binding posts for any connection type. The Cerametallic woofer on these speakers is also of great quality. While it is lightweight, it is crafted to be rigid to makes sure that the audio fidelity is preserved over time. It also comes with a 70% larger voice coil for better power handling and improved linearity. Not only that, its aluminum shorting rings also contribute to the improved power handling and lower distortion. The vented tweeter housing reduces standing waves that create unwanted harmonics, resulting in enhanced detail and clarity in high frequency reproduction. CERAMETALLIC WOOFERS – ALL NEW DESIGN

Utilizing Tractrix geometry, the Reference Premiere ports allow for the most efficient, fastest air transfer from the cabinet, which reduces port noise for punchier low frequencies. Klipsch Tractrix ports have custom designed inner flares that help reduce air turbulence entering the port. Less turbulent air helps reduce port noise for cleaner, more powerful bass. The system is particularly suited to those interested in adding Dolby Atmos to their home cinema, whether starting from scratch or upgrading an existing set-up. The flagship RP-8060FA II floorstander includes integrated up-firing Atmos-enabled speakers, while the RP-500SA II module with a switchable crossover can be used as both an up-firing speaker topper or a wall-mounted rear surround. When I drove the RP-600M II with my Kenwood KA-9100 and RME ADI-2 DAC, it was rather obvious that the new loudspeakers are more accurate sounding; vocals had greater resolution, texture, detail, and a far more realistic sounding tonal balance. It wasn’t so long ago that audiophiles and the hi–fi press wrote Klipsch off as nothing more than “sell-outs” and a “home theater” company. If you disagree, do some research online and look for any current high-end publication that heaped any degree of praise on their products for over a decade.

From my perspective, the RP-600M II take what listeners loved about its predecessor, and offer better detail retrieval, more articulate bass, and vastly improved soundstage width and imaging. The changes also result in better horizontal dispersion which makes off-axis listening more consistent throughout your room. As part of their Reference Premiere range, the RP-600M II speakers are finished in scratch resistant, premium grade ebony vinyl. Combined with the satin painted baffle and the eye-catching copper woofers, they stand out from the crowd. For a more discrete look, simply push on the magnetically attached speaker grilles. The reference plane in this test is at the tweeter. I tested the speaker primarily with the grille off.The presentation also changed with vocals pushed forward of the front baffle and slightly above the loudspeaker. Attaches magnetically for an elegant transition from powerful showstopper to discrete performance piece.

Bookshelf or stand-mounted loudspeakers can’t be lumped into the same category when it comes to bass response and that is certainly true in regard to the RP-600M II. I knew from my experience with the RP-600M that while they were not bass shy, there isn’t as much impact in the low end as you might expect. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to read our article about the top quality Amplification system for your Klipsch RP-600M speaker system. If you own a Klipsch RP-600M, I hope you will find this guide helpful in finding and purchasing an amplifier. The Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-600M II speakers could be the right choice for people looking for high-end sound without spending too much. Its quality components, such as the Tractrix horn, LTS Titanium Diaphragm Tweeter, and Cerametallic Woofer, provide an enjoyable listening experience with its wide soundstage and dynamic range. Its connectivity options, such as the Bi-Wiring and Bi-Amping also make it possible to create powerful audio setups.

Best Amp For Klipsch RP-600M Bookshelf Speakers Reviews

Still a lot of other factors for me but I must admit that while I still treasure objective measurements and use them a lot, the more equipment(speakers and DSP wise) I have tested and played with the more I find subjective experince taking the drivers seat - once a basic baseline is met in objective data. This Yamaha R-S202 Receiver has 40 preset FM/AM stations and a frequency response of 10Hz - 100kHz (0 plus/minus 0.5 dB / 0 plus/minus 3.0 dB). With an input sensitivity of 500 MV/47k ohms and speaker selector for two systems, the Yamaha R-S202 Receiver has an advanced circuitry design and is excellent for Klipsch RP-600M speakers. The Two channels of 100 W high-power output are provided by the R-S202BL, which matches RP-600M power specifications. So, with an R-S202BL receiver, you can drive the RP-600M speaker at loud volume levels without distortion. The below graphic indicates just how much SPL is lost (compression) or gained (enhancement; usually due to distortion) when the speaker is played at higher output volumes instantly via a 2.7 second logarithmic sine sweep referenced to 76dB at 1 meter. The signals are played consecutively without any additional stimulus applied. Then normalized against the 76dB result.

Sound Power represents all of the sounds arriving at the listening position after any number of reflections from any direction. It is the weighted rms average of all 70 measurements, with individual measurements weighted according to the portion of the spherical surface that they represent. That said, I did find the 600M II to be a bit bright at times, something I didn’t hear from the originals. I’ve heard others mention it, but to me, it wasn’t an issue in the 600s. On the other hand, when I listened to the 600M II on the Audiolab amp the highs were a little too elevated for my taste. Klipsch RP-600M II is clearly the larger of the two speakers. Its body is 2mm wider, 3mm taller and 31mm deeper than Klipsch RP-600M.Also like the 600M, the new model has dual input terminals for Bi-wiring or Bi-amping, but the 600M II uses exposed wire jumpers instead of metal straps like the first model. I actually like the original design better, as it looked cleaner, but the new 5-way binding posts are easier to access, so that’s a plus.
