The aim for the IBC is to reward and promote excellent beers from around the globe providing brewers with a platform to express their beers to trade and consumers. Karl Phillips, better known as Bootlegger has certainly played his part in elevating the fortunes of the club currently undergoing the Hollywood treatment.

We aim to only move forward and we can’t wait to keep on releasing good news and putting Wrexham products further out there! European Beer Challenge - Wrexham Export Lager: Gold Medal (Strong Lager Category); Bootlegger 1974 Pilsner Lager: Gold Medal (German-Style Pilsner Category)

Wrexham Lager is a beer that was first brewed in Wrexham, Wales. The beer is now brewed in England, but it is still available in Wales. There are many places to buy Wrexham Lager, but the best place to buy it is at the Wrexham Lager Brewery. The brewery is located in Wrexham, Wales, and it is the only place to get the beer. The beer is also available in England, but it is not as common. We end on a lighter note. Our conversation with Karl was a rip-roaring laugh for the most part. The hard-working, champion-of-the-working-class persona he portrays online shines right through. This is a man who lives for the weekend, exudes positive energy and of course, he loves his beer. Frankfurt International Beer Trophy -Wrexham Export Lager: Gold Medal (Lager Category); Bootlegger 1974 Pilsner Lager: Gold Medal (Lager Category) You can even request a video message from The Captain, as he’s known to his army of fans, via the Cameo platform.

This Pilsner style lager was first brewed in 1882 by two German immigrant Brewers. The town has an exceptional brewing history that we’ll cover in a separate post, at it’s peak Wrexham was probably second only to Burton on Trent. It’s even said that Wrexham lager was served on the RMS Titanic as it had a reputation for travelling well.I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who does support us, every single bottle is greatly appreciated and we are just enjoying the ride with you."

The Asia Beer Challenge (ABC) is operated by the Largest Beverage Awards Organisation in the World which includes CWSA, WWSA and the European Beer Challenge. The Asia Beer Challenge is Judged by Asia’s Leading Beer Buyers and offers brands and Brewers the opportunity to showcase their brews to key decision makers at the forefront of the Asian Beer market. If you’re ever in North Wales, especially around Wrexham, you’ll find this lager on draught in most pubs and bars. It’s not as strong as the bottled version coming in at 4%abv and I think this makes all the difference. It’s a perfect beer, not too strong, a good session beer. It’s mouth feel is fantastic, smooth, rounded and the malt gives an almost warm, nutty taste. German hops give a perfect, understated finish. I can’t speak highly enough, so onto the bottled version. International Beer Challenge - Wrexham Export Lager: Bronze Medal (Lager Category); Bootlegger 1974 Pilsner Lager: Silver Medal (Lager Category) Possibly Tettnanger or Saaz hops (I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m completely wrong there), very light however and with the beer being chilled there’s not much of an aroma to talk about. I don’t find lager the most aromatic beer anyway. This is a major breakthrough, probably one of Wrexham Lager's biggest; to be sold in every single Aldi store in England and Wales.

The European Beer Challenge is held annually in London. This strategic location puts the competition at the heart of the EU & UK which has seen an explosion of craft Breweries and continued growth in the Beer market with sales in 2018 up 2.6% on the previous year.

Introducing the Bootlegger 1974 Pils, a crisp, clean Pilsner style lager that is a true testament to the art of craft brewing. This exceptional beer comes in a case of 15 x 330ml bottles, perfect for sharing with friends or savouring over time. Experience the Unique Flavour Profile of Bootlegger 1974 Pils I got in from work, looked into it, and then put a Tweet out saying it was pathetic. That’s it, though… There’s are snowflakes and trolls with nothing better to do than to stalk you. ” Bootlegger reflects on the pitfalls of viral fame I’ll be honest, I’ve got a young kid and I’m self-employed at the moment. When I started my vlogs, I was a factory worker. Now I don’t have much time to do them every game, and sit there doing the edits. But I do plan to get myself out of the pub to start vlogging again – there’s more to come this season, at some point soon.” “Supporting your local” is no easy task Now, Bootlegger is celebrating his latest success - by having his face appear in every Home Bargains store across Wales and England, around 484 in total. Wrexham Lager and social media star Karl Phillips (AKA Bootlegger) have announced that two of their popular beers will be sold in Aldi stores throughout Wales and England from February 3.
