Out of the box, everything was well. Sound was pretty good. I was impressed. I briefly determined that everything worked properly. As there seemed to be no issues, I was eager to move on from this ad hoc solution. I am encountering issues when I hook two different examples of a T9 pro up to a Sony CDP-CX355 carousel CD player via the Optical connector. Since then I have concentrated on my Blog. It is nice to be able to archive everything well and not let things get covered by waves of garbage. Writing articles take lot more than than posting in forums. Many have long periods of gestation and repeated revisions and editing. I hope you enjoy them.

While I was in HK, I had 2 locations. The "older location" was where my reference was. The "newer location" was where I spent most of my time from late 2012 to late 2018 (Last revised Nov 15, 2019). Connect the rear power amplifier that needs external connection to the audio source output interface.

Briefly, who am I 简介

This also shows the impressive range of the T9 BT. In my house, I can play my device from another room, and there are bends in the corridor. Keep the T9 POWERED. Then: a) Walk over to the T9 WITH your device; b) Take off the BT antenna and wait a few seconds; c) Hold the device close to the T9 and connect with the T9; d) when you see "connected" re-attach the antenna and enjoy! Convenient and works fine, iPhone sees it as "BT HIFI AUDIO". I tried 6-8 meters connection, worked fine. Where is the Factory The factory (in Guangming, 光明) is operated by Mr Liu’s friend, about an hour away in SZ from the headquarter. Mr Liu forwarded a few pics of the factory, but I hope to visit it personally soon.

Being an electronics engineer (and one with a conscious for power efficiency), I had to include this :-) It's also where I'll spend more time, because it's where it surprised me more (and on the negative side). I tried them all: USB from the computer, coax and RCA (separately) from an old Philips CD Player, optical from a LG TV and Bluetooth from my Android phone.I wonder if this difference is mainly because of the tubes on the T9 Pro, or if the slightly different chipset (and their respective implementation), might play an important role too... So far, the only time I have ran into an issue with the Aiyima T9pro handling the Optical input is on the Sony Carosels. If they removed the internal DAC they would lose Coax and Bluetooth options. In general I like the sound of the T9 Pro more, although on tunes with a fair bit of "reverb" already in the original recording, it might feel a bit too much on the Aiyima and I'd prefer the Motu's flatter response. So my T9 Pro arrived and I have been playing around with it. And mostly I think it's a significant improvement over the T9. I would love @amirm to test this tube amp (though I know given it has tubes it will cause the measurements to probably be poor) but I am always curious as to people opinions.

THIS is a BIG JUMP. I used the exact same 3.5mm to RCA adaptor and MIT cable I use for my Meridian Explorer, through T9's AUX OUT. Of course, I removed the loudspeaker cables from T9's binding posts. Windows 10 saw it as "SPDIF Interface" device, rather than USB DAC or something, but it's just label which could be changed in sound settings. Issue #3 (gets HOT!): Another thing that surprised me was how HOT the T9 Pro became after a while (I guess those 11W need to go somewhere). The tubes are the first thing to warm up (but I guess that's expected from a tube), but the whole case gets pretty hot after a couple of hours turned on. I wouldn't say it's burning hot, but it's hot enough to feel a bit uncomfortable if you hold your fingers on top of it or on the sides for a few seconds.

This Round's Classical Pick

Now I see what you mean. OK. The Aux Out on the T9 and the T9 speaker output are synchronously controlled by the T9 VOLUME: you turn up the volume and both the volume of your main loudspeaker and subwoofer output will go up accordingly. This has NOTHING to do with the subwoofer CROSSOVER. Or, put it this way. the Subwoofer Crossover ONLY adjusts the sub and has NO effect on the main loudpspeaker. You hear a difference but that is ALL from the subwoofer and your main loudspeaker is NOT changed at all under any circumstances. Connected to the T9 Pro (in standby) it goes to 1.7W, which is OK (but still not the greatest for current days).
