Description

Traditional litters made from clay or crystal can attract bugs such as ants and roaches, due to the presence of moisture and organic matter in the litter. These bugs are attracted to the moisture and the organic matter that can come from urine and feces, and can thrive in the warm and damp environment of a litter box. Corn cat litters tend to be similar, but there are some minor differences to make note of. Take the following components into consideration when choosing a corn cat litter: On the other hand, corn cat litters are made from dried corn kernels and do not contain any moisture or organic matter. They are also biodegradable which means they do not attract bugs as regular litters do. Because of this, corn cat litters can be a better choice for cat owners who have had issues with bugs in the past or who live in areas where bugs are a common problem. The unscented cat litters, on the other hand, are recommended for the cats or even the cat parents who have allergies to the scented cat litters. However, if you want an unscented cat litter with powerful odor control then go for the multi-cat formula as these litters are formulated to have superior odor control and absorptivity. Other Ingredients As a cat owner, I understand the importance of finding a natural solution for my cats’ litter needs. That’s why I decided to give Purina Tidy Cats Pure Nature Cedar, Pine & Corn Clumping Litter a try. And let me tell you, I am impressed. This litter has a highly absorbent formula that keeps my cats feeling comfortable and the lightweight clumps make cleaning the litter box a breeze. The combination of cedar, pine, and corn is a plus, as it makes me feel good about the products I use when caring for my cats.

The flushable variants can be flushed down the toilet. If the clumps are very hard, allow them to soak in water first and flush them once they get soft.

Corn clumping litter I used for my experiment

Some people won’t flush any litter, even if it’s supposed to be safe. If it clogs or causes problems, the mess and bills aren’t worth it. Traditional clay litters are highly absorbent and can control odor more effectively than corn cat litters. Clay litters are made from mined clay, which is then processed and formed into small granules. These granules are highly absorbent and can effectively control odors by trapping them within the clay particles. Corn cat litters are made from natural materials, typically from whole corn kernels. These kernels are a renewable resource and are biodegradable, which means that they can be broken down by microorganisms in the environment. This makes them a more eco-friendly option compared to traditional litters, such as clay or crystal litters, which can take decades to decompose in a landfill. Naturally absorbent: Corn granules are naturally absorbent, making it easy to scoop and clean the litter box. The absorbency also assists in odor control. There are other World’s Best Cat Litter formulas – Original, Lavender scented multi-cat, Zero Mess, & Pine Scented Zero Mess– but this is the one I personally use and love, so I chose it to feature here in spot number 1. Considering just how much I love this litter, and the fact that I’ve tried a number of others and really hated them by comparison, I do believe I’d be hard pressed to find one I’d like better.

Since the corn cat litters are made from natural plant-based ingredient so it is completely safe for your cats. Also, the corn-based cat litters do not produce much dust and hence it is even safer for cats who are allergic to silica or any other dust. Corn litter creates a perfect breeding ground for aflatoxin, especially a covered litter box (warm enclosed space) with cat pee accumulating in it (liquid).

A Unique Material with a Unique Texture

There are 3 variants of the Garfield Cat Litter and each one of them has its own specific and unique properties. We detail you about each type to help you choose one per your convenience. 1. Garfield Bio-Ultra Clump Tiny Cat Litter The Garfield brand doesn’t offer an extensive line up of cat litters, but the two products they have can meet a multitude of cat’s and cat owner’s needs. We’ll explore these corn litters from Garfield in more detail below. Garfield Cat Litter Tiny Grains Flushable Cat Litter Both the tiny grains and the small grains Garfield cat litters are flushable. We could not find any flushability issues with the tiny grains formula, but some customers had issues with the small grains litter. This litter does such an excellent job of clumping that it’s almost too hard to throw straight into the toilet and flush. Instead, you should let the small grains clumps soak in the bowl for about twenty minutes before flushing. Also, if you have a house with old plumbing or have experienced plumbing issues in the past, you probably should not flush cat litter. It’s also illegal to flush litter in the state of California. We’ll show you how to dispose of Garfield cat litter in an eco-friendly manner if you can’t flush it. Eco-Friendly Garfield is a great value for money and is easy to dispose of by flushing making it biodegradable and much better than any other clumping clay cat litter. Moreover, it is very soft and light in weight which makes it feel gentle on your cat’s sensitive paws.
