I was lucky enough to be given an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and I have also listened to the audio book too. At the end of each chapter is a 'reflection' and 'affirmation' and I thought this was a lovely way to bring each chapter to a close and give some food for thought.

At 25 years old, I was able to understand and relate, if I had read this at 21 I would have been able too and if I were to read this again at 30 - I’d still resonate but the lessons would mean something different. But by the time people reach the age of twenty five, they began to settle and give up on learning new things.I found this book didn't seem to know what it was trying to be and ended up as somewhere between self help, autobiography and lectures. Frank, heartfelt, inspirational and funny, this is a book to remind you that the hero you are looking for is YOU.

I’m a bit older than Whitmore and haven’t necessarily tuned into anything as she was hosting but have the enjoyed what I’ve seen, and sought this book for the optimism. I’d recommend picking this up if you need to just check yourself and find perspective in life, it’s a true depiction of the art of living as fully as you deserve to.Keep learning something new each day, whether it is work related or a new hobby or reading just another book. I’ve read so many you would think I could be a life coach by now but nope I’m still learning and I think I always will be.
