Description

Engraved with our motto, “Epiphanies await the curious mind,” this beautiful brass-finished skeleton key will unlock a well-earned “aha! The easiest way to reach it is by fast traveling to the Trophy Room Floo Flame in the Grand Staircase area and continuing down the hallway through a metal gate.

So, first, pick up the medium key and lean it up against the wall in the smaller area, as pictured below. Two keys appear to be permanently linked, and no matter how you look at it, there is seemingly no solution to unlocking them. The Hanayama range has been painstakingly designed and developed over more than a quarter of a century!I found this Cast Key pretty easy - it took me only 3 or 4 minutes to take it apart and another 3 to reassemble - I personally would rate it only a 1 (Hanayama) or 5 (Puzzle Master). A seemingly simple puzzle, but its hidden inner workings make it hard to solve, and hard to replicate if you do manage. I got the first two, which were sorting the keys by length and sorting the keys by the number of holes at the top. Some fans may already have been clued in by the Key of Admission’s name, but new players might struggle to put the pieces of this particular puzzle together.

I managed to pick up a number of the puzzles famous during that period in flea markets, despite their rarity. And if you can't seem to do it on your own, this puzzle comes with excellent detailed illustrated instructions.

Inside, players will find another set of spiral stairs and a big chest that can be looted for a gear piece. I am really quite pleased I have this in my collection - and may well get the other Cast Key just for completeness.

I reckon that a novice will spend 10-15 minutes on it - just the right amount of time to feel challenged rather than assaulted! Based on these original puzzles from Britain’s famous puzzle period, this is one that we have successfully revived in its new form. We decided to save your shirt from stretching by using a clothing-optional method we first learned from Tim Rowett. However, players will be able to enter during Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial during the main story, and the office remains accessible afterward. I've tried sorting the keys by width, sorting the keys by colour in multiple ways, sorting the keys by value, and sorting the keys by length or number of teeth, none of which were the solution.

The object of the puzzle is to gently twist and turn the keys in a series of moves that will make the keys separate.
