This is an excellent report for grade-level teams and schools to use to set their respective improvement goals. If large numbers of students are below target, this indicates a need to intervene at tier 1 and examine whether appropriate curriculum and instructional strategies are being used. Schools can also examine the percentage of students who are somewhat below target (tier 2) and well below target (tier 3) at each norm period. Examining the charts from past years shows that while the targets for each grade at each norm period have stayed the same, the percent of students in each grade exceeding the target has gone up.

Parents have reported that they appreciate being able to see how their child performs relative to other students in their child’s grade.
