Formula wise, I haven't come across any other brand that produces blushes that come close to those from Nars. Buildable shades from sheer to bold deliver a natural wash of colour to every skin tone - a light swipe of even the highest-intensity hues deliver a natural-looking flush. A community for those wanting to cut down on beauty consumerism, while finding inspiration in your existing products!

The texture was silky, finely-milled, and soft enough that it was a touch dusty in the pan, but it didn't look dry or chalky on my skin tone. On paler to medium skin tones, this blush works a treat, but if you have darker skin, it may look ashy. One brand that always reels me back in, though, is Nars Cosmetics - by far, they are my favourite for blushes. It's so specific, a creamy, light pink/peach that looks like a whole load of nothing but gives the prettiest glow on paler complexions.For an ethereal glow, smile to highlight apples of the cheek and brush the product on the area before blending it out and down. I'd highly recommend starting out with Deep Throat, as it's effortlessly beautiful and you don't need to think too much when applying it.

The high-intensity hues are nothing to be afraid of - a light application delivers an ultra-sheer finish that can be layered up for a bold pop of colour. Nars Sex Appeal Blush may not look like much in the pan, or when swatched, due to it being such a light tone. It looks neutral on, blends well and adds just the right amount of color when you have paler than pale skin like me. As you can see, it's pinker than the other blushes in the comparison, but the Shu Blush photographs too yellow most pictures for some reason, so keep that in mind. Nars Taos Blush looks a bit daunting in the compact and it certainly packs a punch of pigmentation, even when lightly swatched.The blushes come with an handy mirror within the lid, and the lid closes really well and securely, and I’ve never had any issues with my NARS Blushes breaking or getting damaged so they’re perfect for popping in your makeup bag. Myself I prefer a blush without shimmer so I think it's one to wear more in the evening rather than every day. One of my favourites at the moment is NARS Sex Appeal (insert immature giggle) it is such a pale peachy blush that on many skin tones it may not work at all, but on my ultra pale skin it builds up to a lovely becoming flush of colour.
