Description

she is excited for a hen do to Ibiza when her best friend Jac gets engaged, but disappointed that the hen do won’t be for another 2 years. Before turning to writing, Sophie worked in PR and considers promoting the world’s biggest fish finger as her career highlight. Cara Carmichael's bestie is finally getting hitched, and she's over the moon because it means one thing.

Faced with secrets, lies, and betrayal - does it pay to be a good egg, or do bad chicks reign supreme? I loved the characters in the book and lots of it really gave me the same vibe as the movie 'Bridesmaids'. The book took me a while to get on board as I could not stop thinking that Cara is not Sophie and Cara husband Dom in the book is not Steve her husband. It's so vivid and engaging, you'll half expect the characters to leap off the page and join you for a cuppa. I am a follower of Sophie and was so looking forward to this book, who doesn't love a crazy hen story? Lazy days, crazy nights and child-free hangovers sound like hedonistic heaven - but it turns out you can get into a hell of a lot of trouble on the party island where rules are meant to be broken. But of course, absolutely nothing goes to plan and the foursome get themselves into many sticky situations. Overall I enjoyed this however as we got to the twist at the end of the book I did find myself struggling to get fully on board.

The drama, the accidental drugs, private planes,a camp for swingers, drag Queens, hit men,are only some of what happens the girls on what should be 4 days on the lash, in the sun!All in all I would recommend as a fun summer beach read, if you want a book packed with surprises and laugh out loud one liners! I was loving this book when it was based on 4 mums enjoying a hen party in Ibiza and getting themselves into a whole host of hilarious situations. Propelled towards internet stardom in 2017 for a parody of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’, her stand-up, songs and sketches focus on the messier side of life and the truth about parenting. Four friends, three nights in Hedonistic Ibiza ending with an unplanned trip to Las Vegas, what could possibly go wrong?

Sophie lives with her husband, two children and an extremely spirited beagle, and is currently writing her next book. I can't believe the cliffhanger at the end though so I really hope she brings out the next part really soon. I did not love the book and I confess I did skim read it towards the end, it was just too busy and there was not much depth to the main characters at all.For all ebook purchases, you will be prompted to create an account or login with your existing HarperCollins username and password. The story follows Cara, who is recently divorced from her love rat husband, and has been persuaded to join best friends Jac, Debs, and her cousin Amy on Jac’s hen do to Ibiza. Welcome to a hen do where revenge is served colder than a frozen margarita… Cara Carmichael’s bestie is finally getting hitched, and she’s over the moon because it means one thing… Whoah, they’re going to Ibiza! Mums on ditching kids, partners and better judgement for a long-weekend of sun, sea, and sex…y support pants.

Add in the fact that so much of this book is a joke or a pun that it’ll make your head spin by the end. For Cara, it's a chance to forget about her messy divorce and explosive feud with a stardom-seeking sister and Pina-Colada pickled mother. Her ensuing journey to Ibiza, pushed by her friends into a hen party while nursing a broken heart, is a masterclass in comedic chaos. Loved the characters, they really did make it a joy to read and it gosh I loved the cringe worthy moments - I’m even laughing to myself while writing this review! Sophie lives with her husband, two children, one on the way and a beagle with a taste for bin-diving. Absolutely fantastic and hilariously funny had me laughing all the way through and loved all the adventures of the mum's. I actually loved the end of the story, the adventure and all, but overall this book could have been better.
