Peters' Anomaly Peters' anomaly is a spectrum of disorders that all include a central corneal scar with defects of the posterior cornea. One half of these eyes have glaucoma. Peters' anomaly is typically sporadic but can be inherited. Along with the central corneal scar and abnormalities of the endothelium, Descemet's membrane, and posterior stroma, there may be iris adhesions to the posterior cornea (Fig. 92A,B ). Occasionally, a cataract develops that may also be adherent to the posterior cornea.
