Bad Girls ( Spanish: Las malas) is the first novel by Argentine author Camila Sosa Villada, first published in Argentina on March 1, 2019, by Barcelona-based book publisher Tusquets Editores, [1] which later published it in Spain on June 9, 2020. [2] The story is set in the Argentine city of Córdoba and focuses on the lives of a group of travestis who work as street prostitutes at Sarmiento Park, among which is the narrator herself. Mientras leía la historia de Camila, no he podido evitar emocionarme muchas veces, y no solo por lo duro e injusto que son los hechos que narra la autora, sino por como lo cuenta. Camila tiene un estilo crudo, brusco y, a ratos, escatológico a ratos, pero narrado de una manera exquisita, casi bella, que te toca profundamente. Duele especialmente ver lo invisibilizada que ha estado y, lamentablemente, sigue estando la comunidad trans, siempre sirviendo de diana, para que el que tiene más privilegios ratifique que los tiene oprimiendo al colectivo más vulnerable.
