Description

With the GM Command series use of a generator with higher output, intakes and ducts are also added to enhance cooling functions. [1] [2] This higher output generator is however a double-edged sword. [1] Although it allows for full-scale operation of equipment like beam gun and beam rifle, such generators at that time could only be manufactured in zero gravity facilities, so mass production of the suit then at the Earth Federation Forces’ largest production facility at Jaburo was not possible. [1] This had a negative impact on the suit's production number during the war. [1] The dioramas Sei gawks at includes Char's Z'Gok smashing a GM, Last Shooting and the God Gundam holding the damaged Shining Gundam. These same dioramas were seen in episode 6 of Gundam Build Fighters, A Reason to Battle.

A successor to the 180mm Cannon developed during the early stages of the One Year War. [6] Although the caliber of the shell was reduced to improve handling, its range and power have been increased. [6] The cannon's trigger grip is mounted at the top surface, and a foregrip can be used to stabilize the weapon when in use. Like the 180mm cannon, the 170mm cannon was fed by a magazine: though this time it was underneath the cannon. A custom shield used by the " White Dingo Team," the lower half of the RGM-79 GM's shield is placed on top of the smaller shield commonly used by the Gundam Ground Type and GM Ground Type. Like the original version it can be thrust into the ground and used as an elevated weapon firing position. The day before the ceremony marking the completion of the Yajima Stadium, Nils Nielsen invites Sei Iori, Meijin Kawaguchi, and others to an exhibition battle using the new large-scale battle system he has designed. Now that they are all reunited, Sei attempts to show off the Build Strike Cosmos that he has upgraded for the exhibition, but then he notices something missing... Meanwhile, somebody takes control of the stadium's systems, sealing Sei and the others inside. Before them appears a mysterious group, which has come to challenge them to Gunpla Battle. Using a portable Gunpla Battle system, Takeshi Iori uses his PF-78-1 Perfect Gundam to sneak into a building and open a door, allowing Takeshi and other members of the International Gunpla Battle Referees to bust in, but the room is empty; the people they were looking for weren't there. Takeshi calls Master Chinan and learns of similar occurrences with him and Mr. Ral, and realized it is a diversion. Finally, the RGM-79D's communication capabilities was exceptional among ground-use mobile suits during the One Year War. Its head-mounted antenna was the terminal of a high performance transmitter-receiver system, which covered a wide range of frequencies from low to ultra high, had high output and sensitivity, and was capable of communicating in the harsh EM environment of the polar regions. This was vital for pilot survivability, as extreme weather conditions in cold environments (especially polar regions) can last several days. [1] Armaments [ ] GFF #0032 "RGM-79SC GM Sniper Custom" figure: product sample (right) with parts convertible to RX-78-2 Gundam Real Type (Ver. Ka; right) Notes and Trivia [ ] Originally, it was planned for the RX-77-2 Guncannon to be mass-produced with a few tweaks to its design, but in consideration of the wartime situation, the design was changed to make use of the existing production line of the RGM-79 GM. Following a series of trial and error, the GM Cannon was created as a simplified mass production model of the Guncannon. A medium-range support mobile suit, the GM Cannon shares 60% of its parts with the GM, and has a high initial velocity cannon of the same caliber as the Guncannon's attached to its notched right shoulder. Its legs are fitted with removable left and right split type increased armor to maintain the mobile suit's balance when firing the cannon during ground combat.

The same weapon as used by RMS-179 GM II, it has a power rating of 1.9 MW and is powered by a built-in energy CAP system. This beam rifle was used by the GM Cannons stationed in Jaburo during the Gryps War. The same portable firearm used by the Zaku II. It can switch between semi-automatic and automatic fire. Although useless against Luna Titanium Alloy, it can still destroy weaker armor material with multiple shots. It fires 120mm caliber rounds that are stored in a 100-rounds drum magazine. It was used by the "fake Gundam team" on a gold-painted GM II pretending to be the MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki while taking a civilian shuttle as hostage. Mainly deployed on the ground, it was used in large numbers by the Earth Federation. Like its predecessors, the suit was used for an extended number of years, and was involved in the battles against the Jupiter Empire and Zanscare Empire, enemies that deployed more technologically advanced mobile suits. The plot of Keroro Gunsō the Super Movie (2006) starts with Keroro buying a gunpla of the GM Sniper Custom Ver. Ka. The said gunpla has yet to be released in real life, but the Kunio Okawara-designed GM Sniper Custom got released in 2017, 11 years after the movie release. An early prototype of the Earth Federation Forces' mobile suit mass production project, the GM Ground Type was developed before the RX-78-2 Gundam's operational data was recovered. Even though it was only able to operate on Earth, its internal parts were all tuned for ground combat, and it was equipped with Luna Titanium armor, causing its mobility, maneuverability, and general performance to surpass the later RGM-79 GM. [1] [2] It is said that its performance under gravity even rivals that of the RX-78. [2]

Additionally, the pronunciation of the GM's name as "jim" and not "jee-em" is possibly a parallel of sorts to the Zaku's alleged derivative Japanese term " zako ( 雑魚 , zako ?)". In the GM's case, the term might be " jimi ( 地味 , jimi ?)" meaning plain/simple, presumably referring to the overall design that is simple (and cheap) compared to the RX-78-2 Gundam. A handheld beam gun with a lower focusing rate than a beam rifle and short range. The beam spray gun features three different firing modes: a basic single shot mode, a burst shot mode for area suppression, and a range shot mode that scatters the beam to cause damage over a wide area. Output 1.4 MW. The same shield as used by the GM Striker, it was developed for ground-based, anti-mobile suit melee combat. This defensive armament can be used as a striking weapon thanks to the two pile bunkers mounted at the tip. The beam saber is a small device held in the mobile suit's hands when operated and is powered by a rechargeable energy capacitor. It emits a blade of plasma contained by an I-Field and can cut through most armor not treated with anti-beam coating. The GM Intercept Custom has one beam saber stored on the rear waist armor. It is positioned so as not to interfere with the Fellow Booster.

An improved model of the HB-L-03/N-STD Hyper Bazooka with added targeting sensors, increasing its accuracy. The magazine has also been changed to be completely sealed/airtight, and this not only makes exchanging magazine easier, but also protects against debris intrusion, accidental explosion due to being hit, etc. Additionally, no special attention needs to be paid to the weapon during operation as the rigidity of the rib section connecting the carrying handle to the bazooka's rear has been enhanced. A transportable cannon developed by Yashima Heavy Industries as a long-range weapon for use in 1G environment. It has an alternate model number: "NFHI·GMCa-type.09/". Its design is thought to have referenced the Zimmad Corporation’s ZIM/M-T-K175C Magella Top Cannon. It uses a six-rounds box magazine that is inserted into the top. The most notable feature of this weapon is that it can be broken down into compact components for transport in containers carried by the mobile suit. The GM Sniper II was one of the last GM-type units to be developed during the One Year War. However, because its production began near the end of the war and its high cost, only a small number of GM Sniper II were deployed in the One Year War. For this mission, the GM Sniper II, which had just rolled out at Jaburo, the headquarters of the Earth Federation Forces, was sent directly to the team. Since this machine was hastily deployed to the team, it was not changed to the gray coloring of other White Dingo's MS, but it had a unique white and blue coloring. The White Dingo Team engaged in fierce battles with the Principality of Zeon's MS-14G Gelgoog Ground Type, prototype MA Rhinoceros, and other forces, and all of them safely survived the One Year War.
