It might feel « generic » or « mainstream » to some. I don’t really know what this means or why it’s such a bad thing. Good buy Poison Girl EDP, no explanation, no excuse, no reformulation. But are you crazy? Enjoy some silly editions that might smell 90% similar to the original but they become in less than 2 hours a skin scent. You guessed correctly, Poison Girl EDT & Unexpected EDT (another fail that it's not only weak but it's also bubble-gummy). The fragrance itself is nice. I get an apricot-rose opening with a good bit of vanilla/tonka/sandalwood in the drydown. It's not outstanding in any way, just a nice fragrance that smells...nice. From there, this scent dries down into a deliciously spicy vanilla, with delicious hints of rose, apricot, and more of the plum. This scent always keeps a bit of an acidic edge on my skin, but I think it makes it pop and counteracts the sweetness just slightly. When I sampled an older bottle at the store, the liquid perfume in the bottle was visibly darker, and this central phase in the perfume came out almost immediately. I don't think I'll let mine macerate too long, because I kind of love the opening!

Anyway, I'm pumped that this doesn't have any patchouli in it. I love rose and iris, so hopefully this will be a winner for me. Honestly can't wait to smell it. Also, even though this is Miss Dior, this is a brand new scent. Disliking it because you're comparing it to its old composition, isn't really giving it a fair chance. I feel like I've heard them say before that they change miss Dior often to keep it fresh and modern and with the times. With that being said this isn't the first reformulation, and it certainly won't be the last. It has a cleanliness to it, but not a citrusy/fresh one. More like a clean cashmere sweater washed with one luxurious laundry detergent. Dior is reformulating their perfumes too much so that the perfumes should have new names. Dior should change their name to 'Flankerville' the house of cheap reformulations. They have killed their iconic high quality fragrances. Those warmer base notes start to show through within fifteen minutes, as the rosiness and fruits recede. I like it a lot and it makes me feel happy and beautiful and that's why I wear my fragrances, I personally don't really care if it's "generic" or reformulated 1000 times, I just want wear fragrances that make me feel good and calm and feel myself while wearing them. I got it a month ago as a gift and was very carful using it, considering the price. You really don't need much. It smells so good and holds on for so long. Especially when you get it in your hair. I started spraying a little bit of this perfume into my hair (I don't spray it directly into my hair, I just keep my hair in front when I spray it. This way it still gets into my hair and I don't have to spray more than needed.) and it literally doesn't get out unless I wash it. I'm really stunned by this piece of perfection. But the opening notes are bright and cheerful, a peony/rose freshness, some fruitiness that I can't properly identify as either apricot or peach, but with a touch of tart sourness to it. Like a sour plum, although that's not a note here. There's a slight powderiness too that perhaps is the iris, although again, I can't distinguish iris exactly. I really like to use it too. I think it's very age appropriate for my age (I'm 17). It's not a heavy (and excuse me for this term, I'm just being honest) grandma smell. It's fresh (?), fruity, and sweet. You smell like a field of flowers straight out of a movie. It's truly great, amazing, perfect.

Dior (owned by Louis Vitton) are on a watering-down spree; this is a glorified skin-scent, in the same ballpark as Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, which is better than this, but is still watered-down to hell. Mmm, I quite like this. I've had a sample for a couple of years and never bothered with it. It just says Miss Dior, no year or anything so I assume it's this one as I've only lived in this flat since 2020. Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is decorated with a new haute couture bow made of poignard fabric with a unique assortment of flowers. Under the bottle, the emblematic motif of Miss Dior is engraved in the glass. It is long lasting on me, I can smell it clearly on my skin and on my clothing even after a long day. The sillage is moderate which is perfect for daily wear. Picture this : your beautiful home is clean, and you’ve just had a relaxing bath. You are all cozy on your sofa under a luxurious cashmere blanket. On your coffee table, you have a big bouquet of fresh peonies, some vanilla and apricot macaroons and a hot cup of rose tea. You feel peaceful, relaxed, cozy, and oh so feminine. This is what Miss Dior edp 2021 smells like to me. Went to spray this at the store just to see if I still liked this patchouli rose iconic classy scent that always changes each year slightly …. To my surprise it was a different fragrance all together. I had no idea. I smelled warm vanilla fruits ( peaches ) with a little rose and Iris . I bought it on the spot as I loved it at first sniff. What’s not to love here. It’s so so beautiful. Fluffy , creamy , vanillic Ambery fruity and fresh. Can’t go wrong with this one if you are looking for a save , crowd pleaser that literally everyone will love.
