Description

The two friends have an idea and while Rabbit and Duck entertain the Doll family, the others all work quickly to decorate their house with a tiny Christmas tree and lots of miniature decorations. Little Bear explores underneath the tablecloth and discovers that it looks just like a circus tent; a starting point for a wonderful new game.

When they head into the garden, Elsie and her umbrella are blown away by a gust of wind and must be rescued! When she wasn’t doing this she would spend days at a time sitting in her favorite tree, reading the likes of Arthur Ransome and Enid Blyton. She is very good at doing almost everything but sometimes she is a little too enthusiastic when tying bows or blowing up balloons, and does not know when to stop. But Little Bear and Bramwell suddenly notice the dolls' house; forgotten in a dark corner of the playroom, it has no Christmas decorations at all. An old story about a group of stuffed animals that remember the Old Bear that has been tucked safely away in the attic and how they attempt to rescue him.Overall, I think the book is engaging with large pictures on one side of the page corresponding with the story so children are able to visualise what is going on so I think its a good book to have within the classroom. Old Bear— an old dusty teddy bear, Old Bear is the sensible one who likes to sort out problems and keep everyone happy. It grew very tall, and Little Bear was just putting on the last brick when the tower began to wobble .

The story itself is a bit too long-winded and I didn't really sense anything special in the voice; I imagine if Hissey was trying to get into picture books today they would have paired her with another author or else pared down her text quite a bit. Five toy cats who cause a lot of trouble for Ruby, Blue and Blanket but Blanket knows how to get them to behave themselves. He was put into the attic to protect him from the children's rough play, and with the children being older now, the animals rescue him and bring him back down to the playroom. There are days when you want to take a trip down memory lane and for me Little Bear’s Trousers and Jolly Snow are pure childhood.

The television series was something that I loved watching as a child as well as reading the stories, of the toys in the playroom from Duck to Rabbit and my favorite of them all the little bear with his red trousers. This is an old traditional children’s fiction that I remember being read to myself, I think that this is a very calming story to read perhaps at the end of the day. The book is full colour throughout with beautiful illustrations, and stories that your kids will love. The layout of the book is predominately structured so that the illustrations take up one page and the writing is displayed on the other page.We understand that not everyone can donate right now, but if you can afford to contribute, we promise it will be put to good use. The lovely cover was familiar and as I flipped through the pages, my mind and heart were flooded with the memories of these adorable tales and beautiful illustrations. Our resources are crucial for knowledge lovers everywhere—so if you find all these bits and bytes useful, please pitch in. He will rush to help anyone and his long neck is particularly useful for rescuing small friends from high places. After visiting his friends, one by one, he discovers they have all been using the trousers in very untrousery ways; as a sail for a boat, as a skiing hat, to carry bricks and as a flag.
