All I did was over police a woman I was attracted to because I wanted to control her actions at all times. I basically fell in love with her at first sight, which is kind of sketch since I’m 24 and she’s only 16, but I never tried to act on it until everything was legal so nbd. I did promise her we would start a relationship and then fled our hometown instead of talking to her again. Even though she tried to convince me over and over again that she wanted me and wanted my love, I teased her and taunted her for years, but ultimately rejected her completely and repeatedly. I did teach her she was unloveable and really too much to handle through my repeated rejection, but then I got mad at her when she thinks she’s unlovable. Ultimately I decided to marry her best friend to “make her hurt the way I did” and “ruin any chance I had with her” but also now I’m punishing her for not trusting me. Like earlier said, Lucy Score does a fantastic job in her characterization. You will enjoy reading about the initially arranged romance between Luke and Harper. Harper, the heroine is affectionate, cheerful, kind, hardworking and courageous. Also, Luke, the male protagonist is funny, sweet, mysterious and intense. Something happened to him that he is not able to forget and that has made him not able to advance in many aspects of his life. Other characters that appear in the story include Aldo, Sophie, Gloria, Claire, Charlie, Frank, Joni, and Ty who are essential to the story. Lucy Score took this concept and gave us the ultimate look at how this feeling can tie up a man for years...how he had a love and need for a woman but always stopped himself from acting on his intense feelings. On the flip side, the woman causing all of this need and conflict always had feelings for this man but every time something might have finally happened between them...Walls were erected and hurt was inflicted.

He’s the kind of man who would talk you into dropping your panties in a coat closet at a party, dole out orgasms like after dinner mints, and then never call you again.” I’ll slap that sweet little ass of yours so hard, every man on this island will hear you scream my name and know you belong to me.” Her response? Not to call him on his bullshit, that's for sure. She decides that it is her fault that he feels like she is using him for sex, and would never actually commit to a relationship with him (a relationship he has NEVER once asked her to be in, by the way). So after he screws her into the ground, and walks out of her house telling her that they are over, leaving her naked and on the floor.... she decides the best course of action is to get dressed, go to his house, cook him dinner, and tell him she's going to date him and convince him that he's worthy of her.For the past fifteen years, Eden has worked her ass off to overcome high school. She’s cornered the tourism market in Blue Moon offering visitors a place to stay in her hippie, dippy hometown. Business is booming, she’s close—but not too close—to family, and she’s got two dogs to keep her company. Life is perfect. Almost. And of course you have the whole scary villain character and story line Remi is all secretive about. When you don't understand why because there's no way she can handle it on her own. Her moms a cop even! At least tell her what's going on! Instead, he weighed the options between diced tomatoes with or without green peppers while shopkeeper Bill House complained to him. Kid scared the hell out of the horses on delivery yesterday,” Bill continued. “ And he came this close to side-swiping Mulvaney’s new Arctic Cat last week. You know we’d never hear the end of that.”

Editions of Forever Never by Lucy Score - Goodreads

I loved how in their eyes, there was no one else. Their banter and the suspense was exceptional! Remi Ford was an absolute force of nature! Why is the elephant in the room only dealt with at the end of the book and with absolutely no fanfare - I waited the whole book through for the verbal showdown between the h and ow, but no….that encounter was flatter than a pancake. A total anticlimax. 20 minutes into the sweet chat and they’re besties again.
