Considering the near-three-hour runtime, I appreciate Warner Bros slipping the bonus features onto a separate disc. Neither the 4K Disc nor the 1080p Disc has any bonus features. What we get here is a collection of small featurettes focusing on small individual pieces of the production with a nice large making-of documentary Vengeance in the Making that aims for a much bigger picture overview of the making of the film. There are only two deleted scenes with optional commentary with Matt Reeves, one is the already widely seen deleted Joker scene and another brief but interesting interaction with Selina and Penguin - not essential to the show, and while a cool scene, I’m glad they dropped the Joker scene. It was too much and very on the nose almost pulling word-for-word from Manhunter. essentially zero compression artifacts or banding... but the latter could be spotted during a few fleeting moments, such as high-beam So while it doesn't have the immediate eye-popping strengths of other HDR-enhanced discs, it's a perfect example of a film's intended look being middle), this mid-length piece features a wealth of participants -- many listed above -- who speak in detail about the production as a whole, mostly

direction for the franchise if you're sold on its strongest points. If you're not, it'll be a long ride. But even while there's clearly The Batman: Complete Series is a fantastic addition to the DC universe and did things a little different than previous entries inside Gotham. The originality and character performances here garnered the creative team numerous awards for their work and it's well-deserved. As time goes on, more and more fans of The Batman, in general, will no doubt come to love and appreciate this five-season showcase of their favorite characters. And of course, this series says that it's completely great to go in a different direction with an old franchise and tell a thrilling and fun story that doesn't follow the normal path. redeemed themselves. (Ironically, one of the only actors not immediately balked at looked like this four months before signing on.) Robert Pattinson was no exception: Twilight may be a distant where diegetic music is pumped in from just about every angle to a suitably punishing degree. Directional and panning effects are as frequent as Director: Matt Reeves Writers: Matt Reeves, Peter Craig Starring: Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Andy Serkis Review by Derek McNeilhistory, seamlessly introducing most of its key players with skill: Batman as a fledgling detective, primary villain The Riddler (Paul Dano), character", but that observation clearly applies here... and to nearly the same degree as landmark films like Ridley Scott's Blade Runner or David Fincher's Se7en. It also takes more than a few storytelling cues from the latter: as The Riddler Despite the criticism though, improvements abound here, including Batman’s modus operandi. His detective skills, which were only hinted at in previous films, are front and center here. This is also one of the only Batman films in which the character actually saves the people in front of him instead of helping them indirectly. In the opening of Tim Burton’s Batman, for example, the character witnesses a mugging and then goes after the muggers—not to stop them or retrieve stolen valuables, but to hurt and scare them. But in The Batman, a group of people are trapped under scaffolding in flooded waters, and Batman steps in to save them. That moment, and others that follow, suggest we might see a different Bruce Wayne and Batman in the sequels—someone who’s on the ground, helping those in need. So while The Batman represents a bit of a rough start for this new incarnation of the character, with ample room for improvement, it’s a good one nonetheless.

Instead, he secludes himself in Wayne Tower, only coming out at night as the Batman. Much to Alfred’s dismay, he neglects the family business, throwing himself entirely into his crimefighting career. rating than what I've given it here, both the difficulty of its source material and Warner Bros.' respectable decision to given the movie sufficient This three-disc release (one 4K movie disc, one Blu-ray movie disc, and one Blu-ray bonus feature disc) ships in a hinged keepcase withThere have been a ton of iterations of Batman over the past several decades. Whether it be in comic book form, cheesy television episodes, or big-budget feature films, the caped crusader always brings the masses together to watch Gotham be saved time and time again. In the middle of all these cinematic and comic appearances, the animated realm become a fan-favorite for Batman. Most will remember Batman: The Animated Series in the '90s as the essential animated Batman portfolio. But in the early to mid-2000s, there was a new kind of caped crusader patrolling the streets of Gotham in The Batman: The Complete Series which not only won a ton of awards over its five-season run but created a different approach than anything that came before it. sporadically, but not always to a distracting degree), the film's mostly muted color palette is negatively affected as primary colors and more subtle hues The Batman: Genesis (6:09) - Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson return to share their personal insight about the lead Becoming Catwoman– Zoë Kravitz talks about her casting as Catwoman as well as what she brought to the role (she’s no Michelle Pfeiffer). When the trailer hit, I really started getting excited. I knew that if the movie was as good as the trailer made it seem, then it would be fantastic. On opening night, I braved the theatre for the first time since before the Pandemic to see The Batman. I was not the least bit disappointed. It was every bit as great as I hoped.
