Sara Miller is an award-winning British designer who created a luxurious lifestyle brand celebrating a love of playful prints, vibrant patterns and exquisite use of colour. A single voice in an industry is fine, but if you represent a larger number of people – either because you have a role in some trade association, or just because you speak to a lot of your peers – you’ll have extra authority. Turning off the personalised advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive.

We have developed a good collaborative relationship with them on bespoke tiles – we’ve been working with their UK representative John Wimbush from the beginning. During that journey we see everyone's responses to that text - the friends who feel guilty, the sibling with regrets, the flatmate determined to get in touch. I did appreciate Watson's choice to make it not one huge catastrophic event that had made James' make this decision, instead everything that had happened recently just seemed a bit too much, life itself seemed a bit too much, and I think that's something that a worrying proportion of the population can identify with. The clever thread is that James' suicide note is not written, in time-honoured way, on a sheet of notepaper, to be discovered by a shocked neighbour/chambermaid/police His partner has left him, he no longer speaks to his sister or best mate, and he's just lost his job. I found this book similar in style to Eleven by Mark Watson, where there is a lot of additional unnecessary and boring information thrown into what is a great idea.

If you’re talking about an unfair area of law, you can speak broadly about some of the heart-breaking cases you’ve seen. I really appreciated how we hopped around the world, it gave us an insight into all these different characters and really allowed us to explore their relationship with James. A great read, but I could have done with about another chapter at the end to tidy up things and bring a stronger sense of closure. A few from his contacts are given a jolt - like his busy estranged sister, his out of touch mom, his repentent ex and his friend who cheated him. When you put something in their hands, even when there are difficulties to overcome, you know you’re going to get what you want.

I found the ending, after the build-up through the majority of the book, a little brief and almost jarringly unexpected. Chapters jump between the people closest to him while they try to find a way to stop James carrying out his message. Sagan named the novel's protagonist, Eleanor Arroway, after two people: Eleanor Roosevelt, a "personal hero" of Sagan's wife, Ann Druyan, and Voltaire, whose last name was Arouet. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The book did a pretty good job drawing the various characters, switching between following our suicidal main character and some of the recipients of his middle-of-the-night text. Now that you have your personal address book or custom contacts group created, you can add contacts to it. Ellie is reunited with the other four travellers, who have also met simulations of their loved ones. You may know a great deal about your subject, but if you reel off a dozen insights, you might not feel the journalist has represented you well when they quote two or three of them.
